Actually, considering that the concept was originally meant for the Mystery Hunt, I can see why he didn't want the clues to be too obviously different. But whatever the case, I have a puzzle today that I guarantee will have you second-guessing yourself.
Every digit in this Kakuro variant is invertible. The across clues make sense right-side up, but the "down" clues only make sense upside-down. You may want to print this out so you can repeatedly turn the puzzle over, but since I forgot to do that during construction, I don't know how well that'll work.
